St. Demetrios Cultural Hall
Conveniently located in Rocky river on Center Ridge Road (between I-480 and I-90,) St. Demetrios Cultural Hall provides a spacious, elegant location for your event. The main hall with its striking chandeliers can easily seat 400 guests and still has ample room for dancing. Our stage and sound system take the worry out of hosting for any speaker, DJ, or band.
Adjacent to the hall in the Fellowship Room is our bar. We are a "Host Bar"- we serve what you provide. Let us know if you have a speciality drink in mind for our professional bartenders to prepare! The Fellowship Room can also be home to affairs of 20 to 50 people, with or without the bar. Comfortable yet professional, this room is the space you are seeking for breakfast, brunch or lunch events and working meals.
St. Demetrios Cultural Hall also provdies two adjacent courtyards for that breath of fresh air. One on side, we have an open patio, perfect for hosting a summer picnic events. On the other side, we have the church's main courtyard, complete with a water fountain and sparkling lights in the trees.
Catering Experience
After founding the Cuyahoga Group in 1988 and building it into one of the top, privately owned food service companies in Ohio, Jim Variglotti decided to invest in teh talents of Executive Chef Andy Yanak. As co-owners of Catering Experience since 2004, these two individuals bring more than 50 years of restaurant and catering brilliance to the table.
Andy and Jim lead Catering Experience with a unique mix of culinary adventure and business acumen that culminates in providing fresh, delicious and artfully presented catered meals for their every client. In late 2006, Catering Experience came to the Cultural Hall of St. Demetrios Church on the request of hte church board, and is helping to showcase this beautiful hall to its full potential.

We work with only the best products, bought locally whenever possible. Our chefs have created an extensive list of menu suggestions to get you started: from mouth-watering hors d'oeuvres and luscious main courses to heavenly desserts.
Choosing your meals is only part of the fun, though. We prepare your meals on site, bringing perfecton to every bit, and we serve your meal with grace and style. Whether you wish for the elegance of a formal seated service, the fun clamor of a fmaily-style dinner or a buffet of choices for your guests, we will present your meal with impeccable timing and service. And, of course, we are eager to accomodate special diets such as vegetarian, low-carb and allergy-free. However, we are not a kosher or halal certified kitchen.
To help you bring your vision of the ideal event to reality, we will assist you with everything you may need, from choosing your menu to decorating for the big event.
