Hello!
With the abundance of children that we have in the younger ages, we have met and discussed splitting JOY into two groups - JOY and HOPE Hellenic Orthodox Primary Enrichment). It is our intent to create a wonderful experience for our children, one that is age appropriate and enriching for them! Under the guidance of our church, we teach our little ones basic concepts of the Orthodox faith. Each meeting consists of a religious lesson, related hands-on activities and a fun craft project. Our goal is to ensure that our children grow up with familiarity, understanding and appreciation for the Orthodox faith - the faith that will provide a firm foundation for their entire lives.
The age breakout for HOPE will be PreK (4) thru 2nd Grade. JOY will be 3rd Grade thru 6th Grade. This is an exciting opportunity for our children to learn more about our faith, about one another and prepare them as they age to become involved in our church. The format for our gatherings will begin our meetings together with a prayer, splitting the gathering into the HOPE and JOY groups for individual meetings and then rejoining the children for a fun activity. For the most part, our activities outside of the monthly meetings will be activities all the children may participate in. Our first outing will be the Hallelujah Party the end of October. Stay Tuned!
